Wholesome Cats Finding Comfort In Their Humans (Tumblr Posts)

We all know of that terribly untrue myth of cats being cold and unaffectionate. We, as cat people, know that it's wrong. We know that cats can be incredibly affectionate and loving, it's just that sometimes it takes a cat time to warm up to you, but when a cat chooses its human, it is the best, most heartwarming thing in the world. 

What's even more amazing is that when cats choose you, they don't only give affection to you, they expect certain things back from you as well. No more just food, water, and a place to clean, now, they will expect you to protect them as if you were any other cat. These tumblr posts are proof of just that. And goodness knows that we are more than happy to give them the love and protection that they are asking for.

    The more we learn about cats, the more we fall in love with them. We did not know either that this was the reason our little fluff balls waited for us near their food bowls sometimes, but now, we just feel so heckin' honored to be trusted this much. Cats are amazing.

We rescued her when she was not quite half-a-year-old, and she was severely underweight and almost dead from starvation. Ever since then, she gets agitated if she can't see either my husband or I when she eats, and she will do anything to get our attention. Nim definitely feels safer when we're there to watch her eat.

    We are so happy to hear that this cat found not only a safe and amazing forever home but also people that she trusts enough to be calm around. It's not easy for some cats to trust people. So, the fact that she does is something huge and worthy of celebration and thankfulness.

If he hears us sit down at the dining table, he will immediately show up and start eating with us. And, then he jumps on the table, sits in his special box, and watches us eat.
